My husband went to Among Friends during his last year of life, and out of the experience came something wonderful. He created a beautiful watercolor painting! He'd never painted before, but something broke free as his life wound down. It was crystal clear to us that despite his dementia he took pride in his creation. It's framed now, and I draw so much comfort from looking at it. Thank you for giving him this chance to shine once more. Pat Berg

Thank you for sharing this great information. I know volunteers and participants, and it's a wonderful program! Every day at Among Friends seems to bring joy and engagement that is truly meaningful.

How fortunate it is for folks in Pierce and St. Croix County to have this resource available to them.
