The Folks Are All Right

Early in their career, The Who had a hit that we may still hear since they have turned the music of our youth into grocery store Muzac:
I don't mind other guys dancing with my girl
That's fine, I know them all pretty well
But I know sometimes I must get out in the light
Better leave her behind with the kids, they're alright
The kids are alright.
(The Who has contributed to the misspelling of "all right" plaguing us all!)

At Among Friends, some "girls" will dance with other guys because we know it's all right--and it is fun. Music is one of our favorite activities, whether Lou is playing the concertina or Martha is leading a singalong. We love it all.
Music inspires us, gets us out of our chairs, and reminds us of good times. While we might forget someone's name or what we had for dinner the previous evening, the words to our favorite songs stick with us. Those songs continue to bring us joy no matter what stage we might be in life.
Among Friends Dementia Respite Program provides activities for its participants that brings them together with one another, makes them smile, and reminds them that new friends are good friends.
Caregivers can be certain that their folks--their spouse or mother or father or grandma or grandpa--are all right.
We meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am until 3 pm in River Falls. If you want more information about our program, please contact us at amongfriendsrf@gmail.com.
